Griffin Debunks Defenders of Official 9/11 Conspiracy Story Comment by Larry Ross, March 29, 2007
Professor Griffin's new book "Debunking 9/11 Debunking" meticulously dissects the flaws in Bush's official story about the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Paul Craig Roberts gives a splendid review of it below and agrees with its findings. But the implications that the Official Story of the 9/11 attacks was basically a collection of lies and myths is not examined in detail in this article. However the appalling conclusions and implications must be made. Otherwise, and unless they are stopped, the criminal conspirators will drag the world into a succession of wars, probably escalating to a global nuclear conflagration. With the nuclear arsenals of the US, UK and Israel under their control, they have terrorized the world and threatened to use these weapons, firstly against Iraq before their invasion in 2003, and now against Iran, before their threatened bombing assault. One must conclude from the book and the official cover up, that the Bush regime planned and carried out the 9/11 attacks and that this was a successful US 'false flag' covert operation. As Griffin says in his book "The 9/11 attacks have been used to start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, to plan an attack on Iran, to curtail constitutional protections and civil liberties in the US, to radically expand US military budgets and the power of the executive, and to enrich entrenched vested interests". Also, 9/11 has spawned a new multi-billion dollar industry of government departments, experts and advisors on "terrorism" and combating terrorism, Homeland Security, academics, journalists and editors repeating all Bush lies and suppressing questions, criticism and truths that contradict the official story. Everyone who expresses doubts about the official 9/11 story is dismissed as a "conspiracy theorist", and either not reported or is rubbished in the mass media. The majority of citizens are deliberately and repeatedly misinformed, disinformed and poorly informed. In particular they are not informed about "False Flag" covert operations by governments to condition their people to hate a chosen enemy and participate in wars against one or more of these enemies. Today the conspirators use the blanket term "war on terror" to justify their present war on Iraq , their future war on Iran , and if anyone is still left standing, future wars after that. Wars are a time-tested technique to control, restrict and direct a population, as well as generating huge profits and increasing power for the Political, military-industrial complex. Bush's popularity soared after 9/11. After that, conning the people into 'wars on terror' was a ' cakewalk '. Because of this success, and Bush's present low popularity and public doubts, I fear that Bush will use another 9/11 type of 'false flag' operation to justify his war on Iran and against boost his popularity and further his control of the US public. Perhaps the best way to stop the Bush war machine is to publicise this information far and wide, and, Impeach Bush. (see War Crimes & Impeachment on this site.) If the Bush regime is not stopped, the cost is likely to be very, very great, if not terminal for humanity.

9/11 and the Evidence by Paul Craig Roberts , March 27, 2007 Professor David Ray Griffin is the nemesis of the official 9/11 conspiracy theory. In his latest book, Debunking 9/11 Debunking, Griffin destroys the credibility of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Popular Mechanics reports, annihilates his critics, and proves himself to be a better scientist and engineer than the defenders of the official story. Griffin's book is 385 pages divided into four chapters and containing 1,209 footnotes. Without question, the book is the most thorough presentation and examination of all known facts about the 9/11 attacks. Griffin is a person who is sensitive to evidence, logic, and scientific reasoning. There is no counterpart on the official side of the story who is as fully informed on all aspects of the attacks as Griffin. At the outset, Griffin points out that the reader's choice is between two conspiracy theories: One is that Muslim fanatics, who were not qualified to fly airplanes, defeated the security apparatus of the US and succeeded in three out of four attacks using passenger jets as weapons. The other is that security failed across the board, not merely partially but totally, because of complicity of some part of the US government. Griffin points out that there has been no independent investigation of 9/11. What we have are a report by a political commission headed by Bush administration factotum Philip Zelikow, a NIST report produced by the Bush administration's Department of Commerce, and a journalistic account produced by Popular Mechanics . Various scientists who work for the federal government or are dependent on government grants have issued speculative statements in behalf of the official conspiracy theory, but have not produced meaningful evidence in its behalf. |
