By their use of DU weapons and other criminal actions, the US and UK governments are poisoning the planet, poisoning this and future generations, and ensuring the eventual destruction of the human species. The following films help illustrate this. Because both governments are engaged in massive cover up of the facts about DU and other war and environmental crimes, they are inventing terrorist scares and their phoney 'wars on terror' as justification to suppress the facts that can incriminate them. Bringing in more and more fascist measures and laws like the 'Patriot Act' will also help in their strategies to suppress truth, ensure the success of such measures as military conscription, a continuous supply of cannon fodder for their endless 'wars on terror', and a continuation of their regimes in power. At least in the short term, this kind of operation produces fabulous wealth and power for those involved. So a great many Americans and their politicians are involved. For the long term? Wealth and power today is what is important for them. Tomorrow can look after itself. The case of George Bush, the most powerful man in the world who can bring on wars that will destroy us all, is different. It goes beyond power and profit. As a born again, ex-alcoholic Fundamentalist Christian , Bush professes to believe that with the second coming, God will come to the planet and rule, while believers will be raptured directly to heaven. He believes God will rectify any of our problems such as global warming, DU poisoning and so on. Thus Bush doesn't really worry about global warming, nuclear risks of holocaust, hurricanes like Katrina and the like. Believing that God speaks to him and that he is an instrument of God who approves his wars, Bush has a 'spiritual' excuse for everything he does and any consequences. That's why he doesn't need advice from experts. With 'God on his side" and advising him, Bush usually rejects advice from mere mortals, especially that which goes against his religious delusions, such as a second coming and Armageddon. Most normal people would think that one man, supported by a deluded minority and military and profit factions, cannot possibly lead his country, and the world, into a war without end - a war that will grow into a nuclear holocaust and kill everyone in the world. However if you look at human behaviour in history during war, and at various extremist religious sects whose leaders have persuaded their followers to kill themselves for their delusional beliefs, you are apt to conclude that it is indeed possible.
